  • I deliver complex change programmes for mid-market companies that work globally.

    I have 25 years experience delivering M&A integrations, carve-outs and complex change programmes, with the last 10 years as an independent consultant. I focus on mid-market companies across industry sectors from software, pharmaceuticals, artificial intelligence, and financial services through to media & advertising. Clients are global, with previous projects based in the UK, US, France, Germany and India.

    My speciality is mergers and acquisitions.

    My first acquisition was in 1999 for British Steel, leading the carve-out, acquisition planning and integration of an Arcelor Mittal steel mill in France for $100 million. After leading due diligence and strategy development projects for British Steel I joined PwC where, as part of a 3-person team, I created the post-merger integration methodology that was rolled out globally in PwC. In 2017 I co-founded The Agile Gorilla, a collective of M&A professionals that helps clients grow through acquisitions, integrations and carve-outs.

    I enjoy establishing and leading teams through challenging situations.

    My clients are typically mid-market organisations, and have ranged from small Venture Capital-funded start-ups and founder-owned businesses through to Private Equity portfolio companies and $-billion blue-chip corporates. They are linked by a desire to use M&A to drive revenue growth and cultural change as well as achieving scale efficiencies.

    My work in M&A across different industry sectors has meant I've developed a variety of skills useful to start-ups. As a result I've been asked to help and advise a variety of bootstrapped, VC-backed and independently funded early stage companies.
